After a walk, a quick oyster top up and a bus ride after, we were on our way to Camden Passage in Islington to drop by at Laura J London for a shoe swapping extravaganza. We were a little early for the swap so Leona and I made a quick dash to Sainsburys before hand to get ingredients to make a yummy white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake for my last day.
The cute boutique was already buzzing with people and with our bright orange Sainsburys shopping bags placed in the corner, we browsed through the vintage and designer shoes. The cute shop was decorated with bunting made from Shoe Swap flyers draped across the room and a pink luxurious sofa for swappers to try on their pretty new shoes.
The lovely girls from French Kiss Vintage had a stall set up with sunglasses, cute netting hairbands and fascinators as well as jewelry to take your fancy. There was a generous helping of Pimms, jam tarts, cucumber sandwiches and sweeties on offer for swappers to munch on while they tried to find that perfect pair of pumps. Yum, great for just a pound entry. Leona spotted a pair of gold ankle boots in exactly her size to swap for some silver glittery shoes she brought with her, but I wasn't so lucky, no new shoes for me. Jam tart and gold boots in hand, we trotted off home with full bellies and that new shoe glow!
The Shoe Swap will probably become a monthly event so get in touch with Laura to find out when the next one is!
