Well, my name is Cherry, how-dy.

I get inspired from everything i see, here is a small list of the things that inspire me:)

Mémé from pulp fiction (butch's girlfriend)
Packaging is all over my walls
"The Racoons" and "Crystal tipps and Alistair" TV shows,
the impending ice age,
Pic-nics,
The Chicago soundtrack,
Nostalgia for the '90s,
...basically everything!

I also produce a 'zine with my freind Issy, with whom i go to charity shops the country over, and camden stable's with, and enjoy wearing kimonos with skeleton tights and looking at the food in selfridges food hall. I am so so so so happy that i was featured on this website! WAAH!:):)

Well, my name is Clare and I'm totally in love with designing and making random stuff whether it be spontaneous or carefully planned out. In this case, it took some planning and brainstorming with my friend in the park. I find Leona real inspiring and it just makes me want to follow my passion for designing into a career.

When thinking about this creation, I wanted it to be colourful, but not overwhelmingly so... I also just love the japanese style sashes, so I guess I wanted to include that too. I don't really know what to say...other than I feel really happy to have been a runner up - thankyou so much Leona!

i've always wanted to be a designer ever since i made my barbie a toilet roll wedding dress, so when i heard about the comp i just had to enter!
i get insparation for my designs everywhere movies,songs, bands, anything!
The idea for my entry came from my school uniform its so boring so i decided to design one i liked, even my friends wanted me to submit it to our headteacher!I used an old school shirt and changed the wording on the label,a purple top and cut the sleeves off to make a vest thing and one of my dads old ties from the 80s that i found along with a treasure trove of clothes from the 60s to 80s that belonged to my parents.
Im really pleased i got into the top six and the winning design is amazing (i wish i had that outfit)
Thanks for running the comp leona! it was fun making my design and i know have another thing to add to my portfolio.

thank you all so much for the comments - i'm so chuffed!!! I did not think i'd win! The runners up ideas were really groovy as well, well done to them!
Inspriations? I have loads:
- I LOVE japanease street fashion - i really do, i have the 2 books 'fruits' and 'fresh fruits' and i look through them 2 get cool ideas(If you like wacky and original individual fashion buy the books!)

-Music is a big thing 2 me - i listen 2 it all the time, emo bands are my fave - enter skikari, dopamine, hollywood ending, my chemical romance, the used, taking back sunday - i could go on all day!!!!! I usually buy badges from gigs and add them 2 my creations. Tis a good idea!!!

- Also loads of lil things inspire me, i love things 2 do with skulls, stars espesh, lightening bolts, butterflies, diy designs off ebay, people in the street, band people, learn 2 die graphic clothing and love 2 go to london and just people watch in camden. Oh yeah and i have a soft spot for punks!!!!

- I also do alot of art and that inspires my clothes as i like to think im a arty dresser!!!hehe! I put all my art work on my wall which i love - makes my room cool and bright! My favourite piece is behind me in my foto! Very pleased with that one!!

-Ohhh - one more tip (i know im dragging this on!!!) I have a lil' notebook that i keep and wen i get magazines - elle girls my fav!- i cut out the things i like and make a scrapbook, its really cool as i look back and i can inspire myself! I'd recommened doin it!!!
but bascially - pretty much ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!!!!!

I'm gona make my dress me thinks, as i have alot of free time at the mo! Thanks again Leona!!!!!1

I love the bag, japanese street fashion is so cute and i love the pom poms!

I am currently doing Art GCSE and we are studying shoes, so I thought I would just have to design a pair!
I love all of the flat, ballet type shoes around at the moment.
Anything to do with sequins is just fab!
Why I chose fruits...I'm not sure, I thought Fruity Flats had a certain ring to it!
